Rhomboid Trigger Point Exercise

In this video POGO Physiotherapist Brad Beer demonstrates how to trigger the commonly tight rhomboid muscles, using a trigger point device (the Pocket Physio).

Area Targeted

Rhomboid muscles between the shoulder blades.

How to Perform the Exercise

  • Place the pocket physio on the floor
  • find the tight spot and place the point of the pocket physio there
  • place your body weight down onto it
  • hold for 30-40 seconds per point
  • move to different points as necessary
  • Spend 2-3 minutes on each side for most effectiveness
