How often is it best to do Pilates?

 In Pilates

The great thing about Fitness Pilates is that you can do it every day if you wanted to. How is this I hear you say? The beauty is that you can vary the intensity of the exercises, areas worked, spring level used, etc. There are so many variables that make it safe to practise every day.

Trust in Pete and he will look after you and together you will achieve great results. Trust in Pete and he will look after you and together you will achieve great results.

That also comes down to the knowledge of your instructor. Pilates Pete will get to know you and your body so well that he will be able to make it safe and challenging each time you come in for a session.

For example you may have come 2 days in a row and these may have been quiet intense workouts. As a result you are experiencing quite a bit of DOMS (not sure what DOMS is? Please refer to my previous blogs). As I mentioned in my Blog on DOMS the best way to recover is with movement and light exercise. Pete, knowing hard you have worked the previous days can give you a gentler workout so that you help the muscles recover rather than further fatigue them. But all the time you are working with the group and affecting change in the body.

So if you are experiencing this feeling, missing a session is not the answer. This is an example of, as outlined in previous blogs, pushing through that pain. Put your trust in Pete and he will look after you and together we will achieve great results.

The body can do more than the brain will let you think. All we have to do is prove it to ourselves.
