Chris Bramah is a UK-based Physiotherapist and Running Researcher who has worked and provided services for British Athletics and Team GB. Chris has completed his PhD investigating the biomechanics of running related injuries and biomechanical differences between elite and recreational runners.
Chris has published many peer reviewed articles and in addition to his consultancy and research based work, also provides gait analysis services and run service levels through his clinic at the University of Salford Manchester.
During this conversation Chris shares around just what role running biomechanics or the way we move, our running technique, when it comes to injury prevention, treatment rehabilitation and running performance. Chris shares around the top biomechanical factors that Chris’s research and others have shown to be linked to running injury, the role of specific biomechanics related to common running injuries such as ITB and pain, tibial bone stress injuries and Achilles tendinopathy.
