Jessica Stenson (nee Trengove) dual Australian Olympian, dual Commonwealth Games Marathon Medallist last appeared on The Physical Performance Show on episode 34 in December 2016 and a lot has changed in Jess’s world since that last appearance.
We caught up with Jess just after the Rio Olympic Games and from there Jess went on to run in the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast securing the bronze medal, then Toronto where she recorded her marathon PB 2:25:59. A year after that marathon PB, Jess and husband Dylan Stenson gave birth to their beautiful little boy Billy in November 2019. Just as any athlete returning to sport postpartum, they encounter challenges, so did Jess. Jess herself, is a Physical Therapist at Physio Smart in South Australia.
Jess shares her knowledge from her experience postpartum in getting back in shape and back to her best-self; marathon ready.
